Dales Trail Series

An exciting set of running events for the Yorkshire Dales!

The all important Weather for the Yorkshire Dales

Unfortunately the organisers have decided to take a break for 2018.  Will the series return? Please watch this space for further details.

The Dales Trail Series takes in some of the most breathtaking scenery that the Yorkshire Dales has to offer.

Comprising of three stand-alone races, these make up the grand, Dales Trail Series. A new concept, it has been designed to help build skills and fitness over the season as each race distance increases and route marking decreases!

With sufficient time to recover, prepare and train between races it all adds up to one big exciting new adventure to add to your Fell Running calendar year!

The brain child of, Ros Blackmore, Dave Jelley and Richard Gale (Swaledale Outdoors Shop) it is hoped that the series will continue to grow and prosper.

The DT20 - 1st April 2017

An exciting introduction to the Dales Trail Series with testing ascents, spectacular ridge-running and fast technical descents. Now in its second year, this is a fully marked route which starts and finishes in Reeth, Swaledale.

The DT30 - 15th July  2017

A bit of a classic with nearly 3,000ft of climbing up to Tan Hill Inn.

With sections of the C2C including the steep, rocky descent into Swinner Gill and a fast 3km downhill into Muker, Swaledale means this one is not to be missed!

The DT40 - 23rd Sept 2017

The final and longest race of the series. Run over less technical terrain than the first two races but with over 3,000ft of ascent. This challenging event which requires strategy, consistency and stamina, starts and finishes at Semerwater, Wensleydale.
