In 2026.
MTB Yorkshire Dales- The Yorkshire Dales ‘adventure playground’ has some of the finest Mountain Bike routes in the UK.
From Roman Roads, Green Roads and bridleways there are fantastic rides for both beginners and those at the extreme end of the sport.
The recently constructed Pennine Bridleway passes through our area and there are numerous other routes to choose from.
Details of routes and distances can be found at pedalnorth.com, an excellent website run by bikers for bikers and offers a number of classic routes throughout the Yorkshire Dales. From the Malham Tarn family ride to the intimidating Kettlewell Killer Loop, there are routes here for everyone.
There are also a number of MTB centres that operate in and around the Yorkshire Dales which offer tuition and guided courses that cater for all standards.
Northern loop: A 40 mile (65km) circular cycle route which takes in Pateley Bridge, Upper Nidderdale, Masham and some of the other eastern villages.
Southern Loop: Another circular route that offers 39 miles (63km) of some of the best scenery in Nidderdale. As well as the Washburn Valley it also passes through the towns of Ilkley and Otley.
