The Pheasant Inn is a very friendly small campsite behind a popular village pub in Harmby – just a mile outside Leyburn on the main A684 to Bedale. The facilities are very basic, but clean, and comprise showers and toilets and 6-amp hook-ups. All the pitches are nice and level and the ground is well-drained and the grass clipped short – but there are no hardstandings. The Wensleydale Railway is less than five minutes walk away and the bus service into Leyburn stops right outside the pub door, making it perfect for exploring the valley without ever having to move your motorhome off the pitch.
